Are you a medical student, clinician or researcher who loves photography? Each issue (22 per year), the Medical Journal of Australia offers the chance for people involved in the medical professions to show their creative sides. Send your best non-clinical photo to the editor of InSight+, Cate Swannell at cswannell@mja.com.au, to put yourself in the running. Best format is jpeg/jpg, and the larger the file size the better. Landscape-shaped photos fit our layout best, but as the below picture by Dr Kerry Boytell shows, if it’s vertical, and if it’s good enough, you are in with a chance.

We love beautiful pictures, particularly when they show humans and animals doing what they do best — being themselves. Sunsets are gorgeous but are all the better for when there’s some action in the frame.
